  • Switch off the printer and unplug its power cord from the power source.
  • Lift up on the handle to open the top cover of the printer.
  • Now gently take out toner cartridge and drum unit assembly from the printer.
  • Push the lock lever and take the toner cartridge out.
  • Now gently take out the drum unit from the package.
  • Firmly placed the toner cartridge into the drum unit. Note: A locking sound will confirm the right placement of the toner cartridge.
  • Now slide the toner cartridge and drum unit assembly into the printer.
  • Once the assembly gets perfectly placed, close the top cover of the machine.

Now you need to reset the drum counter. To do so in a correct way, follow the underneath steps carefully.

  • Switch on the printer by plugging its cable back to the power source.
  • Press Menu 5, 6 on the printer control panel.
  • Press up arrow or down arrow to select the color of the drum you replaced.
  • Press 1 to reset the drum unit.
  • Press Stop.

  • Don’t try to clean your printer with cleaning materials that contain flammable substances like alcohol and ammonia.
  • Place the printer on the clean and flat surface with a sheet of disposable paper underneath it to avoid any spill or scatter toner.
  • Do not touch any electrical circuitry or electrodes in the printer unit.
